As also mentioned in the disclosures, I'm not a financial expert. I know more about tech and numbers than finance. If what I write makes sense, then great! π
I used to write this blog under a pen name (Eelis Vatanen), but since late 2019 I've given up on that. You can still call me that, if The Wealthy Finn feels too much a brand, but know it's not my real name.
The reason I wanted to use a pen name was mostly since I don't like the internet associating my name with this blog. Some friends I would lose. Some friends would think I'm an idiot. My life is easier this way.
I have been blogging for ten years already, started with stocks and in the more recent years gradually have become more and more interested in alternative investing (such as peer lending) and also impact investing (environmentally conscious).
I don't want to become a big time blogger. There's too much stress. This blog is just for fun, for something to keep myself busy with. I hope you find it entertaining though.
